Researcher Mobility Draft Program 2005


International travel fellowships

A total of $30K is allocated to this activity in 2005. The maximum support for a research visit abroad is $6K and must be of a length of at least 6 weeks. For ARC eligible organizations, the intention is that funding is dollar-for-dollar with respect to ARC funds and pledged funds from partner organizations. The intention is for 50% of total funds to be awarded within each half-year. Preference will be given to international visits that involve joint collaboration with the international host and two or more ACoRN organizations. Also, preference will be given to visits aiming at cross-disciplinary research collaboration.

Domestic travel fellowships

A total of $33K is allocated to this activity in 2005. The maximum support for a research visit abroad is $3.3K and must be of a length of at least 6 weeks. For ARC eligible organizations, the intention is that funding is dollar-for-dollar with respect to ARC funds and pledged funds from partner organizations. The intention is for 50% of total funds to be awarded within each half-year. This activity includes industry internships, commonwealth research organizations internships, and university placements. Preference will be given to placements that involve joint collaboration with three or more ACoRN organizations. Also, preference will be given to visits aiming at cross-disciplinary research collaboration.

Visitors travel fellowships

A total of $60K is allocated to this activity in 2005. The maximum support for a research visit abroad is $6K and must be of a length of at least 6 weeks. For ARC eligible organizations, the intention is that funding is dollar-for-dollar with respect to ARC funds and pledged funds from partner organizations. The intention is for 50% of total funds to be awarded within each half-year. The visitor must visit at least one ACoRN organizations in two different states, preferably involving joint collaboration with all organizations involved. Preference will be given to visits aiming at cross-disciplinary research collaboration.
