Satellite Communications
Satellite Communications is one of the most dynamic fields today and has a significant impact on our daily lives. From weather prediction to the calculation of the exact coordinates of a plane landing using the Global Positioning System, or from defence surveillance to the news we receive in our homes, satellite communications has become an intrinsic part of our environment.
At ITR, we have a broad range of capabilities and experience that contribute to a range of activities from system level satellite communications system development through to design and implementation of high performance satellite communication equipment, with an emphasis on bandwidth efficiency and achieving performance very close to theoretical limits.
ITR has a team with strong research and engineering skills in digital and hardware electronics, matched by strong project management skills applied to produce proof of concept, production and operational outcomes for industry. Licensing of new research outcomes or custom designed prototypes continues to represent key activities in ITR, making use of its close links with industry, original equipment manufacturers and end users of satellite services.
